Integration and functions of the Editorial Committee
It is made up of the editor of the DYCS Victoria Journal, internal and external Associate Editors, as well as the English editors, who are researchers of recognized national and international prestige. In order to guarantee pluralism and autonomy of opinions, the majority of the committee is composed of researchers from outside the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT), to which the Journal is affiliated. To maximize its internationalization, it also includes researchers from foreign educational institutions. The journal editor may propose new members to the Editorial Committee.
Editor
He is a researcher with an extensive academic career and recognized prestige, endorsed by the National System of Researchers (SNII) of the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (SECIHTI), with academic ties both within and outside the UAT, and experience in the process of publishing scientific materials.
He is responsible for coordinating and overseeing activities related to the publication of scientific contributions with academic rigor, supported in his duties by the Editorial Board, the English editors, and the journal's assistant staff. He is subject to the supervision of the Editorial Board and the UAT Publications Council. He is part of the group of editors who, according to their research area, participate in the evaluation of submissions.
Associate Editors
Their work as advisors and evaluators contributes significantly to ensuring the scientific quality of the contributions published by the Journal. Their participation is honorary, voluntary, and autonomous, which guarantees the impartiality, efficiency, and timeliness of their functions.
In addition to advising the Editor, they are responsible for evaluating contributions in their area of expertise, determining the relevance of the submissions, and deciding on their acceptance based on the Journal's editorial standards. They also collaborate in selecting peer reviewers for each submission.
At the request of the Editor, associate editors may act as a third referee in cases where the reviews are divided or in the event of disputes between the reviewers' opinions and those of the authors.
English editors
Experts in this language, appointed by the Editor, their role is to supervise and, if necessary, correct the use of English in the different sections of the Journal, as well as in the content of the contributions.
