Peer review policy
All submissions received by DYCSVICTORIA Journal will enter the editorial process in the order in which they are received, unless they are submitted for a special issue and do not correspond to the specific theme of that issue. In such cases, the authors will be notified in a timely manner via email and may choose either to wait for a future issue for which their manuscript is eligible or to withdraw their submission.
The Journal’s Editorial Team will assign each submission for peer review to researchers working within the relevant field of study. In the case of Mexican reviewers, preference will be given to members of the National System of Researchers and Researchers (SNII) of the Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (SECIHTI). All reviews will be conducted under a double-blind peer-review system. When a submission is authored by researchers affiliated with the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas (UAT), the review process will be carried out exclusively by reviewers external to the institution.
Throughout the editorial process, authors agree to address, in a timely and appropriate manner, all recommendations arising both from the preliminary review conducted by the Editorial Team and from the double-blind peer-review process carried out by internal or external reviewers with expertise in the subject matter.
If reviewers provide recommendations for improving the manuscript, authors must address them within a maximum of ten business days and highlight all modifications in yellow. Should the authors decide not to implement any recommendation, they must provide a justification. The final decision regarding publication rests with the Journal’s Editorial Team.
In cases where reviewers provide conflicting recommendations, the Editorial Team will determine whether the manuscript should be sent to a third reviewer, accepted, or rejected, taking into account the substance and relevance of the reviewers’ comments.
